THE CHALLENGE

Used as a school and community hub and above 11 metres, the project presented an number of different challenges. The design team needed a robust and hardwearing facade the complied with the new Scottish Building Regulations on fire, but also delivered on aesthetics that complemented its rural setting.

THE SOLUTION

Oko Skin Cladding GRC Planks are classified as A1 Non Combustible, the highest rating possible for cladding / facade materials.

Made from Glass reinforced concrete in 3 different textures gave the design team the linear masonry look they wanted whilst delivering on safety and low maintenance the client demanded.

Complemented by fire resistant timber soffits delivers a contemporary building, that delivers on both style and functionality.
