Dalply Facades & Interiors Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary

Dalply Facades and Interiors is proud to be celebrating its tenth successful year in business, with director Patric Catterall calling it a ‘challenging and rewarding decade’.

Founded in 2009, Dalply originally represented just one manufacturer, but as the business has grown so too have their number of suppliers and the extensive range of facades, interiors and insulation products they sell.

A Nationwide Brand

Although based in the Scottish Borders, Dalply has become a nationwide brand and has worked on projects from Aberdeen all the way down to Brighton on the south coast. Over the course of the past ten years, the work they have undertaken has included everything from self-build projects to hotels, schools, hospitals and retail outlets.

One not-so-secret element to their success lies in their commitment to safety, in particular fire safety, with their range of façade, wall and floor tiles rigorously tested to the highest possible standards. Proof of the quality of their customer service, Dalply has a long list of repeat clients who have remained loyal to the firm throughout the ups and downs of the past decade.

Speaking ahead of the milestone anniversary, director Patric Catterall said: “Dalply started from very humble origins and the whole team has worked hard to get us to the great place we’re in today. Customer service is at the core of every project we undertake, and the repeat custom and positive reviews we have received stand testament to the quality of our workmanship.

“Ten years ago I incorporated Dalply Ltd in Scotland, and at the end of May we will celebrate our 10th anniversary in business. It has been both a challenging and rewarding decade. A big thank you to all clients, suppliers and supporters – here’s to the next ten years!”

Award Winners

In ten short years, the Dalply team has played its part in winning a number of high-profile awards and accolades, in collaboration with various clients. In 2014 they were honoured to be involved in the receipt of the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award, for their work on Advocates Close in Edinburgh. They were finalists for the same award in 2017 with the Thistle Foundation in Edinburgh, and in that year the same project won the Community Benefit Award from the Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors.

2017 also saw them help win the Wood Award from the Edinburgh Architectural Association, also for the Thistle Foundation. The same project then landed them a position in the finals of the Civic Trust awards, where they narrowly lost out. This year they’ve worked with a major client to win a coveted place on the Insider Awards list for best Nominated Residential Development of the Year, for Hemingway Court in Ponteland.

Supporting Good Causes

Over the course of their decade in trading, Dalply has also garnered a reputation for giving, by putting back into their local community.

Immensely proud of their home in the Scottish Borders, they were heavily involved in the Kelso High School project, providing extra safe fire-retardant cladding made from entirely natural materials, allowing it to tie in with the beautiful local landscape.

They also supplied the façade on the new Jedburgh Intergenerational Community Centre at Hartrigge Park, which is due to open in 2020.

A Bright Future

2019 has already started well for Dalply, which has now expanded into the interiors market. The team cite their main ambition for the next ten years as bringing ever more innovative products to market.

These will include the highest quality non-combustible cladding and tiles, helping the company preserve and build on their impeccable ten-year track record for safety and customer service.
